À PROPOS

THE HOUSE

Vincent and I are happy to welcome you in our newly renovated barn.

We were commited to respect the soul and agricultural past of this old building and give it back somehow it's former glory; for two years and with the help of our skilled local crafstmen we have scraped stones, sanded beams, limed walls, nailed, cut, hammered, stained, painted and decorated.

In La Petite Grange des Vignes feel entirely at home, with its dash of wabi-sabi philosophy and aesthetics for the "beauty of imperfection and impermanence , for the beauty of modest and humble objects" .

All the furniture and objects are either heirlooms or come from stays abroad and sojourns around the world as well as treasures foraged in the many treasured brocantes of Dordogne.

An array of different drawing-rooms welcome you at La Petite Grange des Vignes:  "L’Ilet Goyave" with its bohemian-chic mood sprinkled with ethnic details or "La Cave à Rhum" with its cosy cigar-club ambiance with oriental rugs, (very) low beams, ample armchairs and leather-worn sofa; you may opt also for the coffee nook in the dining-room for your first early bird "ristretto"

The kitchen is fully equiped for 8 guests and  opens up on the dining-room with its salvaged cattle feeders, rugged walls and earth stones.

The laundry room is available at all times with washing and drying machine and ironing appliances.

On th 1st floor, the three comfortable bedrooms alight on a mezzanine overlooking the entrance living-room "L'Ilet Goyave". Each bears its own private shower room and toilet. They all have a view on the gardens.

A personnality of its own was given to each room with utmost care as to your comfort.

We are sorry not to be able to welcome young children at La Petite Grange des Vignes due to the property's layout.

Unfortunately, the same goes for pets for the same reasons.

Free wi-fi throughout the house.

THE PROPERTY

La Petite Grange des Vignes features distinct atmospheres whether you are looking for the cool freshness of the secular  trees in the park, or the peace and quiet of the Clos de Misha, another wooded part of the garden and for full sun you will cross the tiny country road to the Far West bearing its name due to its location at the further west of the property): here a chill atmosphere awaits you with a bar, lounge area and wooden tables. The spectacular sunsets go hand in hand with a joyful game of "pétanque" !

End another beautiful day under the stars nestled in a throw, around a lit firepit. How more romantic can that get ?

Charming footpaths start from the house for the nature seekers.

Dordogne is famous for its many sports activities and its cultural and gastronomical bounty.

We will be more than happy to help you in your endeavours.

THE ROOMS

At La Petite Grange des Vignes , for your comfort and well-being, we have given particular care to the choice of home linen: 100% washed linen bed linen for its light weight in Summer and for its soft warmth in mid-season, 100% cotton bath towels, high-end bedding Made in France and the little amenities that you will find in your room.

Terres Lointaines
"Return from the Andes "

This bedroom Terres Lointaines enchants us with its vibrant sun-drenched light, its large chalk-coloured exposed stone wall, its furniture weathered throughout the years combined with the roughness of the seagrass. Here, each and every object tells a story.

Capacity: 2 people.

180 x 200 king size bed (available in 2 beds 90x200) ; 65x65 and 50x70 pillows.

Indoor wood shutters (and a fan) will ensure your room remains fresh from the southern heat.

Au Long Cours
“An ode to travel”

We fell in love with its chiaroscuro, intimate and luxurious atmosphere with its soft carpet, its Chinese silk blanket  coverand for its atmosphere of travels to the Mandarins. Its 42m² overlook the Clos de Misha, a small shaded garden where the rising sun shines its rays in the morning.

Capacity: 3 people.

Bed 160 x 190 + 1 sofa bed 80 x 190. Pillows 65x65 and 50x70.

La Bibliothèque de Grand-Père

“Pick a book and escape…” We love it for its 40m² facing south and west, for its panorama of the forest in the distance and its intensely colored sunsets, but also for its custom-made libraries from floor to ceiling where more than 2000 titles will hopefully satisfy your literary curiosity.

We also like La Bibliothèque de Grand-Père for its private entrance and terrace, its lounge area with a view of the countryside and for its nod to Lake Atitlan in Guatemala in the shower room.

Capacity: 4 people

Double bed 180 x 190 + sofa bed in the living room.

GUEST REVIEW

We had a wonderful time at your place. We felt so much at home.Your welcome made it very special !
The lovely bouquets, the beautiful home linen, the welcoming "apéritif",  the lit firepit... and your smile ! And the interior decoration, and the view and the joyful tulips outside and...

Well, we adored being there.

                                                                                                                                    Cécilia, May 2024

A unique, peaceful and authentic experience. The interior decoration is dashing and the atmosphere is very relaxing.  We will certainly come back !

                                                                                                                                    Baptiste, July 2024

A magical place, far from the hussle. The activities were varied and unusual and gave us the opportunity to reconnect with nature.

Notre histoire

Our History

Not only totally in love with this corner of paradise but also eager to share with you this haven of happy living.

After many years on the roads of this world, then through with the cultural  life of Paris, we decided to leave the city, and its social events, the fashion and luxury scene of the Avenue Montaigne and the high seas of the world to gain for good the greenery, peace and quiet of the Périgord Vert on our family property, nestled in the heart of this small hamlet in the Dordogne.

The emotion that emanates from its small villages with their incredible charm, the majestic castles, the breathtaking sites buried under ancestral land, the countless treasures to the eye and the freshness of ponds and streams still leaves us speechless many times.

Our greatest wish? For you to feel perfectly at home at La Petite Grange des Vignes, that your stay should turn out into a moment of relaxation, discovery and serendipity. And that your only one desire is …to stay, and already come back!

At the Petite Grange des Vignes, Vincent and I will be delighted to welcome you and make you enjoy this revitalizing break. We will watch over your stay with discretion and tact, always listening to you.
